Institute of Safety and Risk Sciences

The Institute of Safety/Security and Risk Sciences (ISR) is an interdisciplinary institute at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. The Institute was founded via the project "Nuclear safety" of the Academic Senate of the University of Vienna, was later affiliated to the University of Vienna as Institute of Risk Research, to be finally established in 2010 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences as ISR.

The institute sees itself as an interdisciplinary research centre and interface between scientific-technical, social-scientific and ethical-philosophical considerations of technology and science, their uses and productions.
