Research and modelling of on- and off-site effects of soil erosion and sediment transport

The proposed project will be carried out by CTU Prague and BOKU Wien in the years 2017 and 2018. The main subjects of this project are three intensive student courses held in Vienna and in Prague with focus on soil protection as well as on soil and water conservation. All three courses have a duration of 4-5 days each, with participation of 13 Czech, 70 Austrian students and 2 (5 in CR) Czech and 2 Austrian teachers. In each country, participation of ca. 10 - 20 native students is expected without any additional budget. The courses include lab and field experiments to estimate soil properties influencing soil Erosion processes and also a GIS course with application of a mathematical simulation model.
