Forschungsschwerpunkt
Biosynthese und intrazellulärer Transport von sekretorischen und lysosomalen/vakuolären Proteinen, Glykosylierung und andere posttranslationale Proteinmodifikationen als Determinanten von Proteinstruktur und -funktion, katalytische Eigenschaften und physiologische Funktionen von Proteasen und Glykosylierungsenzymen, Proteolyse und ihre pathologische und biotechnologische Bedeutung, rekombinante Expression von Biotherapeutika in Pflanzen und Insektenzellen.
