Research Focus
I conduct research into sustainable energy generation and distribution with a focus on integrating renewable energies into industrial and commercial applications. To this end, I develop solutions for system optimization and advance energy storage technologies. The aim is to increase the flexibility and efficiency of energy generation, strengthen grid stability, and facilitate the feed-in of wind and solar power. In addition, I analyze concepts for waste heat utilization and heat recovery in order to reduce CO2 emissions and replace fossil fuels. A particular focus is on seasonal storage approaches—such as energy storage using dried sewage sludge—that combine renewable energies with principles of the circular economy.
