Climate change adaptation in municipalities: raising awareness and building capacities for action in Austria
Abstract
CC-ACT supports Austrian municipalities in building capacities to cope with climate change impacts. It identifies their specific needs and assesses existing adaptation support tools worldwide. Actors working with municipalities are central to the project. We will translate needs and solutions into adaptation tools and training materials in close collaboration with practitioners. Our experiences in supporting municipalities in adaptation (e.g. what worked, where are the limitations) will be critically reflected and translated into lessons for other scientists and practitioners.
