UBIGO -Smart demand responsive transport for rural areas

The main justification for introducing demand responsive transport area-wide to a great extent, is, besides the social benefits (mobility for all residents), the ecological effect that can be achieved. The project will assess this effect as good as possible, identify open research questions and the most important influencing effects in a municipality. It is a preliminary study to an extensive collaborative research project, the results will be directly fed into the conception. In addition, the results provided will help us to identify appropriate municipalities, particularly for demand responsive transport. The next step is to contact them, in order to gain them as forerunner for further research projects. Furthermore, we expect important information of how our solution could be developed in terms of the particular needs of this important target group.
