Ecological cultivation of roses - Part 2
Abstract
The project examines the impact of mycorrhizal fungi on abiotic and biotic factors in roses. At the “Rosarium Baden” we will examine in 2015 and 2016, whether the plant health can be improved by the use of mycorrhizal fungi in roses. The varieties at the “Rosarium Baden” represent an excellent basis for this study. Based on various treatment strategies we will find out whether the addition of mycorrhizal fungi can reduce or even eliminate diseases such as blackspot , rose rust and powdery mildew or pest like aphids. Furthermore, we are interested if mycorrhizal fungi are able to improve the plant growth and flower development.
