Abstract
Natural hazards endanger very often human settlements in alpine regions. To protect settlements against natural hazards, especially mass transportation processes like debris flows, landslides, snow avalanches and rock fall, active structural mitigation measures are necessary. Extreme load assumption are often caused by impact of single components. These hard impacts often caused by a single component are not yet fully analyzed. In this work, dynamic impact experiments will be carried out and compared to impact pressure models.
