Hydrologic functions of alpine forest ecosystems.
Abstract
The interdisciplinary project started with the aim of estimation hydrological functions due to forest type, topography and soil characteristics. The investigations are focused on the assessment of climatic parameters for estimation of evapotranspiration, of biological parameters and of hydrological parameters such as surface flow, intermediate flow and base flow at impermeable bedrocks in micro scale approach. Due to that instrumentation a reasonable data base has been gathered for process interpretation and further applications of different hillslope runoff models. Measurement experiments in the hydraulic laboratory assisted the application of numerical models for twodimensional soil moisture transport.
