Soil/Rock and Water – Scientific Excursions
Abstract
The storage of water and water movement in porous natural system of the Earth Core is the group of most important processes in our present environment. Its importance is rapidly growing with the global weather changes and increasing drought in many locations in Europe and the World. The significant role of vadose and also saturated zone is being studied using theoretical tools, laboratory and field experiments and even large field observations. To understand these processes a multidisciplinary cooperation is necessary and links between different institutions in Europe are very useful. This project is focused on collaboration in the excursion activities being organised at CULS and BOKU. Both Universities have similar study programmes – NRE and NARMEE at CULS and BOKU, respectively. Both programmes are organising the specialised excursions. The idea is to share the scientific excursions for relevant students of the partner university.
