(Drinking-)Water Abstraction - Data collection and reporting based on actual information on quantity, quality and use of water (part 1)
Abstract
The main project goals are: (1) investigate and present the actual groundwater abstraction (wells and springs) in austria, (2) distinction between water use (3) informations on water treatment (4) quality control of the data obtained. Data acquisition is performed by a questionnaire survey based on the database "Wasserentnahmestellen" Which includes additional information depending on each federal province (Bundesland). The distinction in water-use is separated between - drinking-water supply - industry - agriculture The first project phase focuses on two to three federal provinces. Additionally the existing reporting system for water suppliers and industrial users will be presented.
