Conflicts from the application of Gene Drives? An Investigation to explore their potential and possible consequences
Abstract
The pilot study should provide the basis for a more comprehensive study that a) investigates the possible potential for conflict that is inherent to gene drives and b) explores the measures that are best suited to address such threats. Crucial, however, is the question of whether gene drives have the potential to be used as a weapon. In addition, it must be clarified in what way conflicts can arise or be promoted from their intended use for peaceful purposes.
