Abstract
The research will focus on the integration and substitution effects of international female immigrants in rural areas in Austria. A multi-perspective approach will be used. First, gender specific outmigration in Austria will be described. Second, existing integration initiatives in rural regions will be depicted. The assessment of experts (from the areas of regional administration and regional development; womens’ counseling centers and integration centers) as well as the subjective perceptions and experiences of the female immigrants’ migration- and integrationprocesses will be collected and analysed
