megaGRID
Abstract
The main objectives of the project are: - Execution of a three-year field trial with 26t-Electric vehicles in five different application cases. At the same time, the field tests serve to validate the developed models in practice. - Development of an expandable e-logistics database, collection of "key performance indicators" of e-logistics subsystems for several relevant use cases. - Development of planning tools for electric truck fleets and charging infrastructure with a daily power consumption of several megawatt hours. The investment planning tool should save 10-15% of the total investment costs compared to an investment strategy without modelling and simulation. In addition, operating processes are to be optimized within the framework of a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) optimization model. - Development of new business models for energy supply companies (EVUs) and logistics companies. Logistics companies with electric truck fleets are a new customer group for energy supply companies. Based on the results of the project, both utilities and logistics service providers can offer new business models for emission-free logistics services. - Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 3600 tons CO2-equivalent in total during the project duration.
