Abstract
The aim of the project is to research two products in the field of solar water disinfection. At HELIOZ, disinfection was previously carried out using commercially available PET bottles available on site, as well as the WADI. Now, on the one hand, a large-volume transparent container (20 liters) with an integrated filter unit is to be researched for its suitability for solar water disinfection and reduction of turbidity, on the other hand, a further developed version of the SDI - "Solar Dose Indicator" is used instead of a WADI for measuring disinfection checked with connection to the GSM network. The WHO specifications are decisive for both products and serve as a benchmark for research into the products.
