Governance options for climate smart agriculture on Austrian peatlands
Abstract
PeatGov-Austria aims to evaluate alternative options for peatland management in Austria, to assess their potential for emission reduction and to identify the most effective governance approaches and policies to support a transformation towards climate-smart agriculture on peatlands. The project applies an interdisciplinary approach integrating agricultural economics, geoecology, and political science. Empirical results will be derived from 2-3 selected local case studies. Relevant stakeholders will be involved through transdisciplinary stakeholder workshops.
