RELILIENZ - COVID19 crisis and agricultural and forestry value chains - Lessons Learnt
Abstract
Overall objective of the project RESILIENCE: To present short- and medium-term measures to strengthen agricultural production and its processing and marketing in the light of the experience gained from the Corona crisis. Work packages BOKU: AP BOKU_LW Long-term perspective: Development of long-term scenarios for Austrian agriculture taking into account the existing Eur-Agri-SSPs scenarios for Europe with special consideration of the following research questions: (a) What are the long-term opportunities and risks for regional value chains and Austria's alpine agriculture? b) What is the role of the agricultural structure and which factors will determine the structural change of alpine agriculture in the coming decades? c) Which measures can agricultural policy take to support a sustainable transformation and competitiveness of alpine agriculture? WP BOKU Market Power: In this work package, supported by modern industrial economic concepts and with the tailwind of the instruments currently being implemented by the EU Commission to strengthen the market position of small producers, the aim is to collect the views of the individual sectors in order to develop tailor-made proposals that contribute to fair conditions between the market participants.
