Abstract
Within the framework of several research projects at BOKU Vienna, the development of the Viennese landscape and the water bodies in particular has already been reconstructed for a total of 14 points in time since the year 1529. However, larger areas in the north and east of Vienna are still missing and are now to be added. This concerns the time periods 1529, 1570, 1663/83, 1704, 1726/55, 1780, 1825, 1875, 1912 and 2010. In addition, two earlier time periods for the Bronze or Roman Age as well as for the High Middle Ages are to be created for the entire present-day city area. Settlement areas as well as historically significant roads and paths complete the landscape reconstructions.
