Revitalisation and Transition of a former railway area for recreation use by the example of the municipality Ebreichsdorf
Abstract
As part of the research focus "LeLeW - Learning and Teaching through Competitions", the case study NEBEB is being implemented on behalf of the municipality of Ebreichsdorf. For the intended sports and recreation area along the former railway line, sustainable solutions are to be developed within the framework of a student competition as a basis for discussion for the decision-making process in the municipality. The research questions relate to learning success and motivation, effect on project operators and the public, added value of real-life settings for teaching landscape architectural design tasks and design theory, challenges and optimisation approaches.
