Abstract

As part of the development of a management plan for the first Austrian wilderness area (Dürrenstein, Lower Austria), which includes the largest virgin forest in Austria (Rotwald), aspects of recreational use are investigated. The project focuses on visitor monitoring, interviews and the development of proposals for visitor management.
