Socially Fair Options for a Climate Neutral Transformation of Housing and Mobility in Austria - Teilprojekt H991
Abstract
The main project TransFair-AT comprehensively analyzes the impacts of different policy instruments for decarbonization of the passenger transport and housing sector in Austria until 2040 on different household types. The sub-project TransFair-AT_H991 is dedicated in detail to the transdisciplinary aspect of the project, i.e.: the integration of stakeholder knowledge and dissemination. With the help of interactive workshops and a continuous integration of a stakeholder board we want to make sure that the views and expertise of the stakeholders are taken into account in the project. This includes (1) the identification of climate protection and accompanying compensation measures, (2) the identification of household types that could be strongly affected by climate protection measures, and (3) the derivation of policy recommendations that lead to the implementation of climate protection and compensation measures that are perceived as socially just by the participating stakeholders. Results from (1) and (2) will be incorporated into the empirical and model-based analyses, and point (3) will be discussed in an interactive workshop based on the model results.
