Investigation of the high dynamic impacts of rockfall on protection embankment
- Landschaft, Wasser, Lebensraum und Infrastrukturen
Abstract
In the course of the research project (NAGEMA), high energy rock fall tests on geotextile-reinforced dams are to be carried out with the newly planned R&D infrastructure at the Styrian Erzberg in cooperation with Trumer Schutzbauten. By using 1:1 field tests, the dynamic interaction and deformation behavior will be recorded in order to optimize design concepts. Due to the unique setting, a reproducibility of 1:1 field tests for the development of integrated systems, rockfall protection dams but also other protection measures against natural hazards can be tested and further developed.
