Strategies for the redesign of communal, nature-oriented recreational facilities based on the example of the adventure natural bath Vorderberg
Abstract
As part of the research focus "LeLeW - Learning and Teaching through Competitions", the case study SENV is being implemented on behalf of the municipality of St. Stefan im Gailtal. Within the framework of a student competition, future-proof, climate-friendly and sustainable solutions are to be developed for the existing adventure and natural bath in Vorderberg, Carinthia as a basis for discussion for the decision-making process in the municipality. The research questions relate to: - Learning success and motivation of the participants, - impact on project operators and the public, - Added value of these real-life settings for landscape architectural design tasks in design teaching, - Challenges and optimisation approaches in teaching and research
