regional climate change impactassessment for a robust and integral energy infrastructure in Austria
Abstract
The overall objective of this project is to provide the essential basic knowledge and database for the development of a site-specific and integral energy planning in Austria. Derived from this, the risks and opportunities for a future sector-coupled energy infrastructure will be investigated in close consultation with stakeholder groups (energy companies, transmission and distribution grid operators, grid planners, decision-makers and climate and energy experts) in a practical and systematic way. The methodological ways to realistically map the risks (e.g., operational outages, PV and wind curtailment, etc.) and opportunities in long-term energy planning are identified.
