Abstract
The basics for sustainable pruning of wine and table grapes are taught in various training systems which find space in home gardening (e.g. cordon and pergola). This is possible using the “Simonit&Sirch Pruning” method, which is based on knowledge of low-wound pruning techniques and respect for natural growth. This ensures that the grape's vitality is preserved as best as possible and greater longevity is achieved. In addition to a theoretical introduction, practice will make up a large part of the course.
