ASDAC BOKU Data Steward

This project will establish a Data Steward at BOKU to optimize soil data management at BOKU and serve as an interface to the planned Austrian Soil Data Center (ASDAC). Specifically, a modern data management framework will be created for soil data and related datasets (e.g., remote sensing, meteorology, land use), optimizing data integration and processing for the analysis of basic and applied research questions related to soil health and ecosystem management. In conjunction with the Austrian Soil Data Center, which networks the key institutions of Austrian soil research, the Data Steward will enable the harmonization and integration of data between institutions, thus facilitating better scientific use and processing of soil data in the context of the objectives of the European Mission Soil, in order to strengthen long-term research into terrestrial ecosystems and their sustainable management.
