RTI-Initiative Circular Economy - Educational Initiative "Green Chemistry"
Abstract
"Green Chemistry" is a lighthouse educational initiative in the field of structured MSc/PhD programs of the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Technology and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. The educational initiative pursues the following objectives: x) To build up and establish excellent and demand-oriented trained research staff in the field of "Green Chemistry". The chemical industry is to be supported with qualified graduates who demonstrate a high level of professional competence, are able to deal critically with resources, are familiar with technology assessment, and develop chemistry responsibly in the sense of sustainability. x) Close networking and exchange of expertise of participating companies with academic institutions. x) Facilitate research careers in the industrial development sector and open up new career paths. x) Setting new impulses in research and development of sustainable, safe and renewable products, energy and technologies through chemical and biochemical processes in accordance with a resource-conserving circular economy.
