Ecohydraulics and near natural hydraulic engineering

The main focus of this long-term research lies in systematic analysis, a better understanding of natural and anthropogenic disturbed processes, and the development of models in the interdisciplinary field between hydraulic engineering and ecology. Experimental studies into the behaviour and effects of changes in water management are also identified as key research areas. The sustainable development of hydropower is further supported by ecohydraulic research.
