WLS Report 3: Hydrologic preliminary study and basic collection on the protection project Ungerbach/Kirchschlag, on behalf of the Forest Technical Service¿s local authority Southern Lower Austria and Burgenland
Abstract
The Ungerbach with a catchment area of 14,9 km¿ flows into the Zöbernbach in the municipality of Kirchschlag (NÖ). As the undercourse channel is far from sufficient to drain off the design discharge, retention measures in the upper catchment areas appear to be suitable. During inspections on site it was found that spaces for water retention are available in the upper valleys. In order to identify the exact locations and to define the retention measures, in-depth investigations were carried out. Parameters were determined which are necessary for precipitation discharge calculation, and the effects of the planned measures on the undercourse discharge were simulated. The results of the study can be taken over directly in a possible protection project.
