Abstract
Vector systems allowing maintanance of large DNA fragments in their respective host (BACs and YACs) were originally not intended for direct use in plant transformation. Goal of the project is the development of vectors and techniques for modification of individual clones (using homologous recombination in yeast) to introduce features required for Agrobacterium mediated transformation of plants.
