Watershed and sediment management project Petra/Wadi Musa (Jordan).

Within the last decades several floods, caused by thunderstorms during the winter months, destroyed parts of the town Wadi Musa and caused human lives. The aim of the project is to design a general project for the whole watershed, including a flood and sediment management plan. This general project contains forestral, agricultural and technical measures. Areas for water retention should be found and the retended water could then be used for agricultural and forestral measures. Within the town technical measures will be proposed together with design parameters to replace culverts by bridges.
