BRIDGE - Perspectives and visions. Workshop Bruck an der Leitha.

BRIDGE expresses the tie between the university and the community. The special location of this region and the city of Bruck an der Leitha gave the reason for using it as a theme for our international and interdisciplinary university project. In the summersemester of 98 we started the project with universities of Barcelona, Budapest, Brno, Lisboa, and Vienna. The idea was to develope various seminaries, thesis and designprojects which were realized between different universities. In February we started with a project management seminar to organize the various timeschedules and issues and goals. The main idea of the BRIDGE project was to create potential development possibilities for the region and the community. This means to protect qualities of life within the possibilities of nature and respecting biodiversity. Furtheron we need to develop new cooperate forms of organisation and networks for communication. To reach this goal we worked from historical gardens up to new land usage and open space design ideas.
