European network for research on forest ecosystems - Resolution S6 (EFERN S6).
Abstract
The general objective is to setup a pan-European Network for Research into Forest Ecosystems, in order to promote coordination of research in this field. This is in line with Resolution No.6 of the Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe, held 1990 in Strasbourg. Priorities are (1) setup of a communication system and database via internet, (2) edition of a 'Catalogue of important topics in forest ecosystem research in Europe', (3) stimulation of multinational collaboration in interdisciplinary research projects.
