Investigation of disposal logistics in Schwechat, Austria.

Using the existing collection system of Schwechat/Austria the influence of offered bin volume on quantity and composition of refuse from households was investigated. The filling degree of the collection bins was determined by volume and weight, and waste composition was ascertained by sorting analyses. The results serve as a basis for the optimization of the communal collection system.
