Abstract

The main emphasis of the socio-economic sub-project is placed on the analysis of agrarian and non-agricultural intensities of use on mountainous grassland fields. Further interest is directed on the development of a theoretical framework to explain different intensities of use and management as well as on their optimisation in consideration of social, economic and ecological values. The attention is especially turned to interactive linkages and relations of economic, structural and institutional conditions as well as to interdependencies with ecological influences and realities.
