Abstract
The population dynamics of gypsy moth and its natural enemies were recorded in stands of low, increased, and outbreak conditions at Burgenland (Austria) and Slovakian Republic during the years 1993 to 1996. Furthermore, the nutritional influence of the two main oak species, Quercus petraea and Q. cerris, on the development of the gypsy moth larvae and its effect on the infection rate by the microsporidian pathogen, Vairimorpha lymantriae, was studied.
