AMONCO - Advanced Prediction, Monitoring and Control of Anaerobic Digestion Processes towards Biogas Usage in Fuel Cells.
Abstract
It is the objectives of the EC-project AMONCO (Advanced Prediction, Monitoring and Controlling of Anaerobic Digestion Processes Behavior towards Biogas Usage in Fuel Cells) to demonstrate the practical use of biogas in fuel cells. Main task of the Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Institute of Applied Microbiology, is to control the biogas process in a way, that the production of toxic gaseous by-products is minimized. Otherwise this by-products like H2S or Silane would drastically reduce the fuel cell's catalysator lifetime. To reach this goal we will use self-learning neural networks, a strategy successfully used in an earlier EC-project called ANAERO CONTROL.
