WLS Report 76: Scientific support to the Project "Pertisauer Wildbäche"

In the available project the basic idea in its method of operation of the project "Pertisauer Wildbäche", developed by the Forest-technical Service for torrent and avalanche control (Gblt. Westl. Unterinntal) should be evaluated and supported in the execution of the formulated project regarding the effects, possibilities and alternatives. The basic idea orients itself at the conception of the re-activating of flooding areas in the "Karwendeltäler" which are actually in use. The aim of the project is to attenuate the discharge peak on one of the channel-capacity corresponding height in order to avoid thereby floodings in the settlement area of Pertisau (district Schwaz). Hereby a nature-orientated approach in the protection of endangered values and objects have to be taken into account which became necessary because the field of work is situated in a NATURA 2000 - area.
