Abstract
The study will analyze the impacts of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on the agricultural production of the communal sector of five administrative regions in Namibia. Based on an extensive literature review several scenarios will be designed along so-called story lines, which include changes of household composition, change in the livestock and cropping systems, and households coping strategies. The story lines on data were provided by Farm-Economics Houshold Surveys. The results will be discussed in the context of national HIV/AIDS and rural development programms.
