Screening of S-Layers (SCR-2)
Abstract
The surface of many Archaeobacteria and Eubacteria is covered with a crystalline, monomolecular layer (S-layer). The S-layer is glycosylated in numerous bacteria. In the present project new isolates are taxonomically characterized and analyses of their glycan structures are made.
