Strengthening of concrete with CFRP

Strengthening of concrete structures with CFRP Aim of the project is the investigation of the bond performance between a CFRP lamella stuck into a concrete slot and the surrounding concrete body. Various influences have to be considered such as distance of the slot to the free edge, concrete strength, increased temperatures, dynamic load and stress state in the concrete. Furthermore the interaction between CFRP lamella and steel reinforcement is examined. The test results should provide the basis for design concepts of concrete structures which are strengthened by the use of carbon fibers.
