From the methods to the whole issue - potentials of today´s quality research
Abstract
Traditionally analytic measuring procedures are the center of attention. At the latest with the success story of "biological food" also complementary ("holistic") measuring methods were postulated and used. Both, complementary as well as conventional procedures, require critical discussion and reflection regarding force of expression, statement borders and economy in application. Progress in measuring techniques and validating of methods point chances out to establish method combinations as recognized procedures of the quality regulation and quality monitoring along the creation of value chains. Parallel to it new quality parameters were discussed as for instance the "vital activity", because conventional methods cannot furnish such a proof at present. Going out from the postulate "the living issue is more than the sum of its parts", in the scientific discourse are possible interactions of the complementary methods with conventional quality analytics along conventional and new demands for "quality" to be compiled.
