Inventory of flood protection along ILL river

In the framework of Schutzwasserbauliche Bestandserhebung Ill (flood protection survey Ill) the IWHW covers the work packages hydrology, one-dimensional hydraulics and sediment transport. Hydrographs of design floods with various annualities are determined by means of statistical analysis and precipitation-runoff modeling. Channel runoff capacities are computed by a one-dimensional steady numerical model. The description of riverbed stability and erosion and deposition development is assessed by a mathematical sediment transport model. Included are the river Ill and eight loaders within the competence of LWBA. The results are the basis for the development of hazard zone plans and subsequently a water management plan.
