Abstract
Goal of the project is the development of a quality control system for the production of high quality liquid extract obtained from earthworm-compost. Quality and market value should be determined and defined by chemical and physical parameters, following the Austrian compost regulation. In addition microbiological parameters should be identified and limits should be defined. At least the liquid product should be characterised by common values, such as plant yields, fertilising effect and soil conditioning but further by innovative parameters such as microbiological quality and resistance of crop plants against pests and diseases.
