Abstract
Within a visual monitoring programme starting between March and May 2006, the migratory behaviour of Chondrostoma nasus (nase) and Hucho hucho (Danube Salmon) with regard to an existing fish ladder and a weir is studied. Aim of the project is the definition of the position of an additional fishway, especially for adults of the nase and the Danube salmon that were found not to use the fishway that has been implemented within the frame of the EU-LIFE project "Living space of the Danube Salmon".
