Abstract
Scientific coordination of the following projects (details see http://www.austroclim.at/index.php?id=startclim2008) StartClim2008.A: Effect of adaptation measures on acute mortality risk from extreme temperatures in Vienna StartClim2008.B: Which adaptations of soil erosion protection measures can be recommended for expected climate change impacts? StartClim2008.C: Practical testing of the monitoring concept „Adaptations of insect pests to climate change in crop production of Eastern Austria” (StartClim2007.C) by investigating the distribution of current cutworm-damages (Agrotis segetum, Schiff.; Fam. Noctuidae) regarding site-related and climatic factors. StartClim2008.D: Organic mountain agriculture in Tyrol – contribution for climate protection and adaptation strategies StartClim2008.E: “Development and economic valuation of landscape structures to decrease evapotranspiration on agricultural acres considering climate change and biomass production” StartClim2008.F: Perception and evaluation of natural hazards as a result of shrinking glaciers and permafrost degradation in tourism destinations on the example of the Tuxer Valley (Zillertaler Alps, Austria) StartClim2008.G: Adaptation of forest soils to a changing climate
