The analysis of the extreme winter of 1998/99 - the effect of permanent and temporary measures under extreme load

The analysis of the extreme winter of 1999 is to provide a detailed view on the effect of permanent and temporary measures under extreme load. Technical as well as spatial planning measures and their mode of operation will be analysed within the project. Supporting structures in the release areas of snow avalanches and hazard maps for local communities are part of these investigations. The summary of this project should play a key role in future planning processes for the Authority of torrent and avalanche control.
