Abstract
Investigation of dam in Central Iran The investigation concerns with the design work of an earthfill dam for electricity generation in Central Iran. The dam with a height of about 200 m is located in an extremely narrow valley with steep slopes. The dam length is nearly equal to the dam height. The dam is located in a seismically active region. The investigation includes the numerical simulation of 3D-numerical simulation of the construction process, the impoundment and the safety during earthquakes.
