Abstract
There is a growing interest in unfired clay building materials with good physical material behaviour, with respect to an energy conscious and ecological design, which fulfils all strength and serviceability requirements for thermal transmittance (thermal value). Reuse of waste straw in this manner is considered an environmentally friendly material in which it helps to reduce heat in the house during the summer, an keeps warmth in during the winter. On the other hand, faced with the worldwide shortage of forest resources, industry is showing increased interest in the produktion of particleboard from agricultural residues. This project aimed to study the mechanical behavior of different bricks made from different materials such as clay, diffierent natural fibers, lime, sand, cement, etc.
