Abstract

Within this project the so-called iAST Medium of the Bact/ALERT sterility testing system (Biomerieux) will be modified for the detection of defined bacterial groups. Aim of the project is the qualitative detection of defined bacterial species in presence of accompanying microbiota. Classical cultural methods will be applied as reference standards. After the method development based with pure reference strains as well as wild-type strains, the system will be evaluated with real samples from the industry.
